Ishikawa Prefecture is well known for its blessings from Mt. Hakusan and other mountains, as well as the food culture nurtured in its castle town, and in recent years Kanazawa has become known as a city of art. There are many traditional crafts such as Wajima lacquerware, and historical places such as Kenrokuen, which is a representative of Japanese gardens.
