Authentic fruit pound cake with bitterness of lemon peel

“Lemonade Pound Cake” made by Kanazawa Kenroku Seika, a confectionery locates in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, under the supervision of Lemonica ,a lemonade specialty store.

I have yet had lemonade of Lemonica, but it seems to be quite popular and their stores locate all over Japan. Since both are from the same province, I presume it was produced as a hometown – collaboration.

The pound cake itself looks standard, but the waft of lemon comes out while opened the package.

The entire dough is kneaded with lemon juice, and it also includes lots of lemon peel.

This is not an ordinary standard pound cake but tastes rich & fresh lemon flavor as well as bitterness of lemon peel. They make for an authentic and high quality of fruit pound cake. This is a limited-time sweet.
