Kuzu Sakura Mochi
Japanese notation "くずさくら餅"
Yamanaka Ishikawaya, located in Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture, is the maker of “Kuzu Sakura Mochi” a springtime treat. It is a very long-established Japanese confectionery shop founded in 1905.
It is a cute package. The “Kuzu Sakura Mochi” is different from the so-called “Sakura Mochi” and is a Japanese confectionery of “Kuzu Mochi” that evokes an image of spring.(”kuzu” means Pueraria lobata)
When I opened the package, I found a beautiful pink jelly-like kuzumochi. The brown part at the top contains real cherry blossoms. The aroma of cherry blossoms is in the air.
The aroma of cherry blossoms and the slight sweetness give it a cool and refreshing feeling, and it is a confection that is like the royal road to kuzumochi. The size is also great for small bites.
