Maido-san

In Kanazawa dialect, "Maido-san" means "hello".

“Maido-san” made by Gafudo, who has been making traditional Japanese sweets in Hakusan City, Ishikawa Prefecture since 1949, is a milk manju, milk sweet bun.

The package design looks modern and  is very Kanazawa-like. The name “maido-san” in Kanazawa dialect means “hello” .

Gafudo’s products line-up includes stylish western confectionery-taste as well as variety of traditional ones and such sense of confectionery is Kanazawa-like.

The manju, sweet bun  skin has a slightly biscuit-like texture and is filled with pasted milk-flavored red bean jam.

There are many Milk manju  made by different confectionery all over the country, so it may be difficult to create an originality among them, but this very satisfied as expected and is understandable to taste such elegant finished manju made by a long-established Japanese confectionery.
