Siro-no-ishi
Monaca to assemble
Japanese notation "じわまん(能登大納言)"
”Jiwaman” a manjuu with cute packaging from Ishikawa Prefecture, is made by Furan Doru.
It looks like a standard manju, but the bean paste inside is unique.
The red bean paste is filled with large red beans. These are the “Noto Dainagon” grown in the unique climate of the Okunoto region, and are prized for their large size and bright red color, and are used as ingredients for high-class Japanese confections.
The fullness of the azuki beans can be fully appreciated, and they have an amazing presence in the refined sweet red bean paste. There are various kinds of azuki beans, but as the name of the confectionery suggests, this manjuu was a solid taste of Noto’s premium azuki beans.
