Kamakura Choco Sand Dayo

“Kamakura Choco Sand Dayo” is a chocolate sandwich made by Kamakura Goro Honten in Kamakura City, Kanagawa Prefecture, who is famous for making ”Kamakura Hangetsu“. The unique point of the confectionary name is adding a small letter “yo” at the end of the product name.
A stuffed rabbit is printed on the package. The concept of the product seems to be image of a moon rabbit, which is very representartive for the confectioner.
The overhanging chocolate board is visible and is sandwiched with the round miniature rice cracker-like. It is probably gaufrettes with a similar texture of “Kamakura Hangetsu”.
The crunchy chocolate is puffed and has a crunchy texture, but it is surprisingly fluffy and soft. At first glance, the chocolate part looks harder, but on the contrary, the gaufrette is chewier and crisper than how it looks.
