”Mamma Rosa” made by ”IL Rosa”, a confectioner in Tokushima City, is a milk manju. Tokushima seems to have a deep history of dairy farming.
Not many people nowadays have the image of dairy farming in Tokushima, but in the past, dairy farming was very active in the area. Il Rosa has carefully carried on the tradition of milk produced in Tokushima, and this “Mamma Rosa” is made with an emphasis on “milk” to symbolize such Tokushima dairy farming.
Milk manju, which looks like a gourd shape, is now available. The surface is very glossy and the aroma of milk fills the air.
The manju skin is very thin and pure white. It has a raw-like texture.
