Yama-musubi
Japanese notation "山むすび"
“Yama-musubi” made by Shunkadō in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, is a rice cracker made with five grains. Shunkado is a confectionery shop famous throughout Japan for producing “Unagi-pie” but they also produce many other types of confectionery.
Incidentally, the “Gokoku-ya” written on the package seems to be a sister brand of Shunkadō, and it is a brand with the motto of “making sweets that are gentle to the body using five grains”.
Five grains called “Gokoku” have been eaten in Japan since ancient times, and in recent years they are being reevaluated as a new healthy food.
These small grains are gathered together and have a very light texture.
The crunchy and very light texture of the five grains is delicious with soy sauce sauce sauce soaked into it. The savory aroma of the five grains and the strong taste of soy sauce sauce sauce make it a snack that seems to be good for the body.
