Sweet bun filled with the delicious taste of Beni Azuma sweet potato

“Oimo-Sensei”, made by Oranda-ya locates in Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture, is a Japanese sweet potato manju, a sweet bun using Beni Azuma, a variety of sweet potato grown in Chiba Prefecture.

The word “IMO”, meaning Potato is written in  Chinese characters in large letters on the golden colored package. The name “Oimo Sensei” means Potato Teacher and is interesting name.

It looks heavy and massive.

Seeing this from the cross section, pasted sweet potato tightly filled and there is some potato fibers left.

It tastes 100% natural Beni azuma.  The baked thin crust is also savory and enhances the sweetness of the sweet potato.  It is a perfect Japanese sweet potato.
