Tender cheese manju filled with cream cheese

“Yamada-Keigetsudō” in Ōdate City, Akita Prefecture, is a very long-established confectionery shop established in 1901. This time, we will have a cheese manju called “Hachi-no-Ashiato” made by “Yamada-Keigetsudō”

Cheese manju named after Hachiko, a loyal dog born in Odate City, Akita Prefecture. The package depicts a cute Hachiko.

The manju is branded with Hachiko’s “footprints” which is cute.

A look inside reveals a fluffy textured cheese bean paste. Both the dough and the bean paste are made with plenty of cream cheese, giving the whole thing a fluffy finish.

The overall flavor is that of a cheese manju, but with the gentle taste of cream cheese. It is a bite-sized manju with a delicious cheesecake-like taste.
