Baked sweets made by a long-established coffee & tea store

Sawai Coffee, based in Sakaiminato City, Tottori Prefecture, is a coffee & tea store that has been in business for 42 years. The company operates stores not only in Tottori and Shimane prefecture areas, but also in Ginza and Asakusa in Tokyo. In addition to producing and selling coffee and tea, Sawai Coffee also focuses on baking sweets, and this “Shizen no Tamago” is one of their baked sweets.

The packaging is giving an image of organic, and the baked sweets seem to be made with their special eggs.

It looks like a bouche, but it is smaller than a typical bouche and the surface is crispy finished.

Almond-flavored cream is filled in and it spreads a delicious aroma. The dough of the bouche is crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, giving it an exquisite texture.

It seems to be designed to go well with coffee or tea, and the almond aroma is good. The dough also has a strong egg flavor, which makes the baked pastry a little rich.
