Hyakka-fu

Japanese notation "百花譜(ひゃっかふ)"
”Hyakka-fu” from Ishifunean, a confectionery in Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture, is a manju shaped like a seasonal flower using traditional hand-carved wooden molds, inspired by “Hyakka-fu,” a collection of flower paintings left by Mokutaro Kinoshita, a medical doctor from Ito City who was active in a wide range of fields including poetry and literature.
The package design is also beautiful, with an impressive picture of a flower with a delicate touch. The shape of the manju also resembles a flower.
The bean paste inside is a yolk bean paste made with fresh cream, butter and mascarpone. It is finished in a gorgeous way.
The outer dough is made very thin, but has a hint of vanilla flavor, and although it is a manju, it has a Western approach, like a manju that goes well with coffee.
