Kamakura Dayori (Azuki)

Azuki sable is rare, fragrant and slightly sweet.
The “Kamakura Dayori” sablé, made by Kamakura Beniya, famous for manufacturing “Kurumikko”, comes in three varieties: plain, green tea, and azuki, which is highlighted here now.
Adzuki-bean-flavored sablé is very rare.
The Kamakura Dayori is shaped like a ginkgo, after the large ginkgo tree which is a symbol of the Tsurugaoka Hachiman Shrine in Kamakura. That is a unique feature of the confectionary.
The surface has a smooth and crisp texture, more like a hard biscuit than a sable.
The azuki flavor seems to represent the confectioner’s originality other than the other flavors. The azuki flavor is softly fragrant and has a subtle sweetness. The famous sable in Kamakura is the “Hato-Sablé”, and the “Kamakura Dayori” sable is also a qualified sable that is sure to be popular.
