Salt & Lemon Rice Crackers

With fried coconut, it feels like a new style of rice cracker.

Torobi Sen Honpo in Ibaraki Prefecture is known as a long-established Okaki, rice cracker specialty store with a long history.  They sell many catchy and unique concepts of okaki, such as the “Okaki Mayonnaise Soy Sauce” and “Zeitaku Okaki W Camembert” which were all introduced earlier, and are fun pop concepts.

The “Salt & Lemon Rice Crackers”  have a unique flavor and the package is cute and pop, and mini-sized package, which costs about 100 yen.  That is nice.

Those crackers look unfamiliar shape.

These are fried slices of coconut fruit . Coconut chips are crunchy and does not look a rice cracker, making us feel tropical mood by no means.

The rice cracker is simply delicious, with a simple salty taste and lemon-flavored powder sprinkled on top. The coconut flavor mixed with the tropical flavor makes it a perfect “summer” type of okaki.

Their series of Okaki is full of new and unique ideas, and we look forward to more conceptual Okaki from them in the future.
