Ichiroku Tart Amanatsu Mikan

Collaboration of Ehime's signature products is the best match

Ichiroku Tart” made by Ichiroku Honpo, a famous confectionery in Shikoku, has an original flavor of yuzu (Japanese citron), and Ichiroku Tart Amanatsu Mikan (Summer Oranges) is their another series which has just been released for a limited seaon.

Ehime is famous for producing Mikan(mandarin orange) because their average annual temperature is over 15 degrees Celsius, and the temperature does not drop below 5 degrees Celsius in winter.  There are long hours of sunlight from August to October, and it is important for the growth of mandarin oranges.

Since Ichiroku Tart is a famous as a representartive confectionary for Ehime, collaboration with Ehime mandarin oranges may be, in a sense, its destiny.

The mikan juice is kneaded into the white bean paste, and a citrus aroma spreads out from the white bean paste.  The mandarin orange peels seems to be mixed into the paste.

The light sweetness of the tangerines really matches with the sponge cake, and it is almost like a cake with mamalade jam.  It is a delicious taste with a hint of sweet and sour.
