Founded in 1900, Tsurigane-ya Honpo in Naniwa-ku, Osaka City, which is famous for its “Tsurigane-manju” is a Western-style manju with bitter caramel-flavored custard cream replacing the red bean paste inside the store’s signature product, “Tsurigane-manju”
It comes in a Western-style package and is illustrated with caramels.
The appearance is that of a bell-shaped manju.
Inside is caramel flavored custard cream. There is quite a lot in it.
The caramel is also bitter and authentic. It is still delicious. I was reminded once again that Tsuriganeya Honpo’s sponge cake dough goes well with everything.
