Curry-mame
Japanese notation "カレー豆"
I bought “Curry Beans” from “Fujita Cherry Bean Sohonten” which makes the famous “Lucky Cherry Bean” series in Shimabara City, Nagasaki Prefecture. ”Uni-mame” I had the other day were so delicious that I couldn’t help but buy them when I saw a package of these curry beans next to it.
The Lucky Cherry Bean series seems to come in a variety of flavors, so it’s nice to have a mini-size version when trying a new flavor.
The appearance of the curry powder is abundantly covered. It looks boiled with ”Uni-mame” but there are black specks of spices and the aroma of curry wafts softly through the air.
We feel that the traditional technique, handed down since 1914, It is what gives the fried fava beans their crispy texture.
Curry flavor is also delicious. It is a stable taste with a crispy yet firm deep flavor of fava beans.
