Yama-no-Hachimitsu Age-Sen
Japanese notation "山のはちみつ揚げ煎"
“Yama no Hachimitsu-ya” runs a beekeeping business on the banks of “Lake Tazawa,” the deepest lake in Japan, located in Senboku City, Akita Prefecture. This time, I bought “Yama-no-Hachimitsu Age-Sen” which is made from such organic honey.
The bee on the package is the image character. It has been less than 30 years since they opened their store in 1994, and now they have a magnificent store that looks like a theme park, and they also have a pizza studio and a cafe.
Upon opening the package, what emerged was a rather large fried rice cracker, quite thick but very light and crispy.
The rice crackers seem to be coated with plenty of honey and shine brightly. The color of the rice cracker is a light golden color just like the color of honey. The aroma of honey wafts through the air.
It cracks so easily that you would never guess from its lumpy appearance. It is a thick rice cracker, but the crunchiness is amazing.
The light texture and mellow aroma of honey is amazing. You can directly feel the taste of honey in this fried rice cracker.
