“Nagasaki Monogatari” made by Karakusa, a confectionery shop in Nagasaki Prefecture, is a long-loved rolled baum pastry.
The package depicts a “letter drawn on cloth,” which is essential to the epithet “jagatara-bun” or “letter drawn on cloth,” which was born in Nagasaki, a city with a thriving trade.
