Speaking of a famous rice brand in Yamagata Prefecture, “Haenuki” comes to top in my mind though,”Tsuyahime” has recently become their representative brand.  The rice features quite chewy texture and sweetness.

The “Tsuyahime no Kiwami yaki”, meaning Tsuya princess’s premium grilled rice, is rice crackers made with 100% Tsuyahime rice.  The rice brand log is printed on each individual package.

It  looks very simple; they have a light texture and is baked in golden brown.

It has a crisp texture and breaks easily in half.

Tuhis is simple rice crackers tasting the natural flavor of the rice which makes us want to keep eating them one after another, and is enjoyable to taste the deliciousness of the rice.  It is really impressed to us with the evolution of this new variety of rice.
