A Limited-Time Collaboration Between Amaoh Strawberries and the Poem

A new Amaoh strawberry flavor of the  “Poem” Baby Poemu , a classic souvenir confection from Ehime Prefecture, has been released.  The Poem let us picture a fusion-style of sweet bun filled with egg yolk paste and this Amaoh strawberry flavor seems to go well with the confectionary as well.  By the way, the strawberries are in season from January through March.

Speaking of Amaoh strawberries, general image is as large, sweet-and-tart berries produced in Fukuoka Prefecture, and recently they have become popular nationwide, and it seems they have established a solid reputation as a brand of Japanese-grown strawberries.

It looks just like the usual Poem series Poem Series.

It seems they’ve created their own original strawberry filling by adding Amaoh strawberry purée to the Poem signature egg yolk filling. The color isn’t that artificial strawberry syrup look—it has a natural-looking hue that’s really nice.

The filling really give us the texture taste of the strawberry pieces, and its natural sweetness is delicious—it goes well even better with Poem than expected.  There have been a lot of limited-edition versions of the Poem series, and they’re all of such high quality that might have been through a lot of trial and error.
