Kamaku Lata
Milk sweet bun Combining Kamakura and Southern France style
“Kamaku Lata” is made by Les Anges, whose main store locates in Kamakura. Les Anges seems to be a brand within the Ariake group, famous for Yokohama Harbor, and they have mainly produced western confectionery.

Their exteriors of the shops, main one in Kamakura and the other in Nishi-Kamakura are modeled afte a villa in Nice, France and look like exotic Western-style mansion apperaance. Their confectionery lineup also seems to feature many high-quality Western sweets, primarily baked sweets.

This confection is so-called “milk sweet bun”, and it is named “Kamaku Lata”—a combination of “Kamakura,” “lait” (milk in French), “ta” (meaning “you” ), and ‘Clarté’ (meaning “radiance”).

Plenty of milk bean paste is filled in.

It looks like a high qualified sweet milk fusioned of Southern France and Kamakura style. It is very tasty and enjoyable with a moist texture and rich mil flavor.
