Japanese notation "ピエール・エルメ メレンゲ"
Pierre Hermé, as in the Picasso of the patisserie world, is a French patissier and has become a famous brand in Japan. Pierre Hermé stores are located all over Japan. Since there are many of them in Tokyo, we would like to introduce them here as one of Tokyo souvenirs.
There are 3 different flavors in a box including almond (red), lemon (yellow), and pistachio (green) and this is a colorful assortment package of “Pierre Hermé Meringues”.
Tried one, pistachio flavor. Bright colored macarons look like being buried in a pure white meringue made of egg whites. By the way, the dought of the macarons are called “cock”.
The shape of this pastry is quite unique. It is understandable why Pierre Hermé is called as the “Picasso ” n the pastry world.
There are many pistachios included. The meringue is crispy and delicate, and seems to be easily crumbled.
It is crispy but melts in mouth. It is elegantly sweet and luxurious. This assortment box is perfect as a gift.
