Otona Lemon Cake

“Otona Lemon Cake” made by Confectioner Rokubei established in 1926 in Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture, is a lemon cake with a slightly mild taste made with lemons harvested in the Setouchi area.

Rokubei also pours a lot of effort into their package design and cares a story releations for each confectionary.

This confectionary is made by a collaboration with Tetsubei Hayakawa, an artist whose cutout picture books are very popular.

The size is small enough to be eaten in 2~3 bites, and the cake itself has the texture of a fruit pound cake.

The inside is moist and the aroma of lemon spreads.

The lemon cake has just the right balance between the bitterness of the lemon peel and the fluffy sweetness of the cake dough, and we can feel the high quality of Setouchi lemons. It is a lemon cake that reminds us of the high quality of Setouchi lemons. It is truly a ” Matured” Lemon Cake.
