Toramaki (Fujiya)

Flashy Tiger-patterned appearance but elegant and delicious.

“Toramaki” made by “Fujiya”, a confectionery shop locates in Mima-gun, Tokushima Prefecture, is often referred as an Awa specialty, and is a traditional Japanese confectionery there nowadays.

The confectionary is named as Toramaki, meaning Triger roll, featuring Tiger pattern and a tiger illustration is printed on the bottom of the package.  It looks cute.

It is a stunning tiger pattern.

The volume of the red bean paste is sufficiently filled in and  is very heavy.

The filled red bean paste is not too sweet, in other words, the paste is like a light yokan, swee beans jelly.  The dough looks flashy with the pattern, on the other hand, it tastes very elegant.
