Jaga butter sweet potato

“Jaga butter sweet potato” made by Wakasaya Honpo in Sapporo is a baked potato paste made from potatoes and femented butter originated from Hokkaido.

It is made from “Inca no mezzme”, one of brand name of potatoes produced in Hokkaido.  The “Inca no mezame” is characterized by its rich flavor and extremely smooth texture, and it is darker yellow and sweeter than general potatoes.

The potato paste is backed to golden brown and packed in a cup.  Since it is a crème brûlée-like texture, it is better to scoop it up with a spoon for eat.

Ther Potato paste has both fluffy texture and creamy smoothness. It is not ordinary texture, but very tasty!

The flavor of fermented butter is mellow, and the natural sweetness of the potato is so delicious and it is much sweeter than general potatoes.   It is a unique sweet potato harvested in bounty of Hokkaido nature.
