Chikara Anpan Zunda-Milk

The well-known Mochi and Bread "Dosukoi Style" with Zunda An

“Chikara Anpan Zunda-Milk” made by Orion Bakery in Hanamaki City, Iwate Prefecture. It seems to be a new series of “Chikara Anpan” introduced before.

The new series of “Zunda Milk” flavor also has a package design with a sumo wrestler on it. LOL

I had a nostalgic image of Hanamaki City, like the Ihatove of Kenji Miyazawa, but this sumo wrestler design is also nice. I like the power design, and the yellow-green Mawashi (wrapping cloth) is fashionable because it is made with zunda-an.

While “Chikara Anpan” was round in shape, this one is square. It has a beautifully browned surface and is the size of the palm of your hand, but it is very heavy.

That’s no wonder, because this chikara anpan is filled with mochi (rice cake) and bread. Inside was a greenish brown bean paste.

Zooming in on the cross-section of the bread, you can see a firm layer of mochi inside the bread, with zunda-an inside.

Zunda bean paste is mixed with milk cream and goes very well with bread. By arranging the cream, we think we have created an exquisite Zunda-an that goes well with both the rice cake and the bread. It is a delicious and satisfying dish with a large volume.
