Akita-Morokoshi

Elegantly sweet with gently melting red bean flour and sugar

“Akita-Morokoshi” is made by “Sugiyama jusandō”, which has a long history dating back to 1705, in Akita City, Akita Prefecture. It is a type of dried confectionery and rakugan, and is the signature product of “Sugiyama jusandō”.

They are individually wrapped in bite-size pieces and wrapped in paper like candy.

The top surface is well browned.

It melted in my mouth. The main ingredients of Sugiyama jusandō’s “Akita Morokoshi” seem to be azuki bean flour, a specialty of the Akita region, and sugar. The sweetness is mildly sweetened by the azuki beans, and the simple sweetness of the confectionery is delicious.
