Soba de Dance
Japanese notation "そばDEだんす"
This is a manju called “Soba de Dance” by “Seneido” in Akita Prefecture, which is famous for its ”Wakagaeri Manju”. The name is a unique combination of soba and dance, and the package design is also pop.
Ugo-machi, Ogachi-gun, Akita Prefecture, where Seneido’s store is located, has a traditional performing art called “Nishimonai Bon Odori” with a history of more than 700 years, and there are also large soba fields in Ugo-machi, where soba consumption is also flourishing,So the dance and Soba(buckwheat noodles) were combined to create a named “Soba de Dance”.
I can feel Seneido’s light footwork and love for the community.
The manju dough is made from buckwheat flour. Inside the manju is a light Koshi-an (red bean paste).
The manju dough has a refreshing sweetness and a slightly chewy texture with a mellow buckwheat aroma. Buckwheat flour goes really well with azuki bean paste.
