Noji-no-Sato
A cute pastry like "Roasted Kuri-kinton".
Japanese notation "かりまんラスク"
Korindo, founded in 1885 in Utsunomiya, Tochigi Prefecture, has a long history of baking “Kariman-Rusk” a unique confection made by baking rusks with the “Kariman honey” used in their signature product “Miya-no-Kariman“.
The white package has a brush-written title.
It contains two brown rusks. When I took them out of the bag onto a plate, they came out with a clang-clang sound.
The surface is like hardened candy, so it feels harder than a typical rusk, but it looks delicious.
The texture was crunchy, like a rusk with caramelized sugar. The brown sugar flavor and the buttery candy were so well matched to the rusk that I could have eaten them one after another.
