Sweet potato(imo)
Japanese notation "すいーとぽてと(芋)"
These sweet potato snacks are made with an abundance of Ibaraki-produced beniazuma, which is said to have a strong sweetness and low fiber content. The package has a simple design with the words “Sweet potato” and a stamp of “imo” (sweet potato). It is a cute design.
When the package is opened, a bite-sized round cake-like sweet potato appears.
It is said to be baked by kneading brandy and egg yolk into the Ibaraki-produced beniazuma, giving it a beautiful yellow color.
The cross section also conveys the feeling that it is made of simple materials.
The sweet potato’s natural sweetness is perfectly balanced with the brandy and white bean paste. The sweet potato is moist and has a very luxurious sweet potato flavor. I thought it would be even more delicious with a cup of tea or a cup of black coffee.
