Valentine's Day Limited Edition: Not for purpose of “Obligation Chocolates”? A Passionate Red!

“Gâteau des Rois Valentine’s Edition” is a special Valentine’s Day version of the Gâteau des Rois Premium, made by Gâteau Festa Harada who originates in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture. It is wrapped in bright red packaging, it exudes a luxurious vibe.

This is the well-known “Goute de Roi” series, which means “the king’s treat” in French and is one of Gâteau Festa Harada’s signature confections. With its “special” touch, it would be perfect for a small gift, so it might be just the thing for Valentine’s Day.

Each individually wrapped piece in the Goute de Roi Premium series comes with a backing card like this, which further accentuates its stylish, high-end feel.

The chocolate used in this Valentine’s Day edition appears to be milk chocolate, and it might be one of the sweeter version in Gâteau Festa Harada’s lineup. Dried raspberries are scattered on top.

Since the overall theme color is “red,” which might imply something like “passionate,” this might not be the best choice for “obligatory chocolates” purpose, lol.
It seems the culture of giving “obligatory chocolates” has become much less common these days, which I think is a positive trend, but I’d also recommend keeping this Valentine’s Day edition for ourself to enjoy—even if we don’t give it to anyone else.
