Gouter de Reine

“the queen's snack” in French. the classic rusk sandwiched raisin cream

“Gouter de Reine” made by Gateaufesta Harada is a pastry included raisin cream sandwiched between rusks. Although it is a same group of the Gouter de Roi series, the structure is quite different from the others, as it is a raisin sandwich. “Gouter de Roi” means ‘King’s Snack,’ and the ‘Gouter de Reine’ means ”Queen’s Snack”.

The word “Reine” on the package means  “queen” in French.  Speaking of Quessn of France, Marie Antoinette comes first in my mind.

Comparing to the other series of  Gouter de Roi, this  is thinner than the others, and has a raisin cream sandwiched inside.

It is finished up as a luxurious confectionary adding raisin cream on such tasty familiar Gouter de Roi rusk.  Anyone who loves Gouter de Roi ever thought of this combination at least once?

It is very delicious.  Speaking of raisin sandwiches, many of us think of “Marusei Butter Sandwich” and such rusk version is also fine to enjoy.

This is one of the sweets that shows the wide potential of the Gouter de Roi series.
