Okoppe Fermented Butter Cake

Simply conveys the power of Hokkaido dairy farming

I bought “Okoppe Fermented Butter Cake” made by “North Plain Farm”, a dairy manufacturer in Okoppe-town, Monbetsu-gun, Hokkaido. The package design with a cow sitting in the middle is good!

“Okoppe” is the name of a town in Monbetsu County, Hokkaido, and the name is said to come from the Ainu word meaning “a place where rivers meet”.

Okoppe-town faces the Sea of Okhotsk and is a region where dairy farming and fishing are thriving,
The town is said to have a peaceful landscape with many cows living on farms.

The “Okoppe Fermented Butter Cake” is made with plenty of butter produced in Okoppe Town. The cake was packaged in a package covered with a piece of cardboard to prevent it from losing its shape.

The shape and color of this cheesecake is so perfect it looks like it belongs in a comic book. A lovely sized cheesecake.

It is a fluffy sponge cake.

The cake batter, rich with North Plain Farm’s fermented butter, had an exquisite mellow aroma and rustic sweetness. The quality of the ingredients used to make the cake batter itself is very high. I would like to visit Okoppe town at least once.
