Goyō-tei Cheese Cookies
Japanese notation "御用邸チーズクッキー"
”Cheese Garden” continues to produce high quality cheese food products based in Nasushiobara, Tochigi Prefecture. This time, I bought “Goyō-tei (Imperial Villa) Cheese Cookies”. You can enjoy authentic cheese, and it is an easy-to-distribute souvenir that lasts for a long time.
Although it says “Goyō-tei (Imperial Villa) ” on the menu, it does not mean that the restaurant is under the Imperial Household’s warrant. “Kuraya” is the management company of “Cheese Garden”, which was established in 1984 and has a history of less than 40 years, producing food in Tochigi.
The cookie is a perfect circle with a beautiful gradation of baking quality, and the size is quite large and seems to be thinly made.
There are black grains mixed in here and there, and I thought they might be vanilla beans, but they are black pepper!
The cookies are made with Parmesan and Edam cheese, and their high quality can be seen in the mellow cheese aroma. The cookies are made with cheese as the main ingredient.
