Coffee bean sandwiches kneaded into cookie dough

“Beans Kitami”, a coffee bean roasting specialty store in Kitami, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, collaborated with “Kashin Tachibana”, a confectionery shop also in Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, to create the “Beppin-san Coffee Raisin Sandwich”. The “Beppin-san” mean “Beautiful Lady” and it is original brand of “Beans Kitami’s” deep-roasted coffee, which is kneaded into the cookie dough and sandwiched with raisin cream.

The packaging design is unique, with a woman in a kimono holding a coffee pod.” Tokyo Setagaya” and a logo with the notation “Raisin Sandwich”.

This cookie sandwich is characterized by its dough with deep-roasted coffee beans kneaded into it. The cookie sandwich is quite substantial and hearty.

From the side, there are plenty of raisins and cream, and the cookie with coffee beans kneaded into it is quite thick and looks satisfying.

There was a hint of rum in the flavor, and I think they probably soaked the raisins in rum, but there were plenty of raisins in the sandwich. It was a bit like a rich adult raisin sandwich.
