Mango cheese Manju

“Mango Cheese Manju” made by Sueyama in Miyazaki Prefecture is a combination of mango, a specialty of Miyazaki Prefecture, and cheese sweet bun, which has become a standard souvenir of Miyazaki Prefecture.
As of 2023, Okinawa Prefecture ranks first in domestic mango production, accounting for nearly 50% of the total, and Miyazaki Prefecture comes next, accounting for more than 30% of the total. Miyazaki Prefecture is particularly famous for the many high-end brand-name mangoes they grow.

The sweet and sour taste of the mango jam really goes well with the cheese sweet bun. Their plain “Cheese manju” tastes good but I prefer this one by far. It is a very good combination, and the cheese sweet bun is like a collaboration of Miyazaki Prefecture’s specialties.
