Ichigo-Vaffel
Japanese notation "苺ヴァッフェル"
The “Ichigo-Vaffel (Strawberry Waffel)” made by the confectioner “Wakoh” in Fushimi Ward, Kyoto, is a crisply baked Waffel with strawberry cream sandwiched in between.
”Vaffel” means “waffle” in German, and seems to be a general Western-style baked pastry consisting of cream sandwiched between German-style hard-baked waffle dough. I think you can find many corrugated ones.
There is a generous amount of strawberry cream in between.
The beautiful pink strawberry cream is made with plenty of butter and whipped cream and has a fluffy texture.
The Waffel dough has a rustic biscuit-like deliciousness, and the cream sandwiched inside is a rich but slightly sweet and sour strawberry cream that goes well together. It is a pastry with a slightly luxurious atmosphere.
