Yokohama-Lenga Chocolat Blanc

Chocolat cake seems to embody the exoticism of Yokohama

“Yokohama-Lenga Chocolat Blanc” made by Mutekirou in Motomachi, Yokohama, is a chocolate cake topped with white chocolate. Mutekirou is a restaurant and confectionery store who was opened there in 1981 with the main concept of “Japanese spirit with Western sensibilities” and seems to embody Yokohama’s originality.

The company also produces many Western-style confections, and the “Yokohama-Lenga Chocolat Blanc” in particular is known as a well-established souvenir confectionery. They are packaged in a modern box with an exotic design that is typical of Yokohama.

The concept seems to be based on the image of the “Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse” that Yokohama is known for.

The cake is cut into squares that look like bricks. A thick White chocolate is layered on on the top.

The moist cake has an aroma of Western wine.

It is refreshingly sweet with a hint of sweet and sour with raspberry puree between the white chocolate and the cake. This fondant chocolat has a modern atmosphere, like a typical of Yokohama.
