Rum Raisin Cream Sandwich

“Rum Raisin Cream Sandwich” is made by the confectionery studio Lucille in Murakami City, Niigata Prefecture.

In Japan, Rokkatei’s Marusei Butter Sandwich is the most popular so-called Raisin butter sandwich, and nowadays, various confectioners are making such sandwiches with their own originality, and it seems to have become a very broad and deep genre.

With its beautifully baked cookie and cream with raisins, their “Rum Raisin Cream Sandwich” is a well-balanced product that shows how carefully it is made.

In fact, I personally was not a big fan of raisins, but  I have become to love them after eating the delicious raisin butter sandwiches.  By the way, the raisins used here are soaked in rum more than 6 months.

The cookies and raisin cream are perfectly completed and the balance is superb. The confectionery makes many other baked sweets, and I will buy them when I have a chance.
