Tabi-sachi

Japanese-style apple pie that looks like a cross section of an apple

A confectioner Lagunoo Sasaki represents apple sweets grown in Aomori prefecture and they comes first while we think about apple sweets.  “Tabi-sachi” is one of their confectionaries.

It looks like an apple pie, and the shape is very unique.

It is an apple pie duplicating the cross-section of an apple as it is. Cut pieces of apple are placed on both sides, white bean paste placed in the center looks like an apple core and it browned.

When turned it over, the pie crust is shaped like an apple, and it appears that a great effort has done into achieving this very pretty appearance.

When cut it in half, baked apples and white bean paste are placed alternately, making it a very elaborate apple pie.

The white bean paste in the middle creates a sense of originality in the flavor. Although it is an apple pie, it has a rustic sweetness and a Japanese confectionary-like atmosphere.  This is very Ragunoo’s representitive confectionary feeling their love and commitment for apples.
