Mochi Dorayaki
Japanese notation "こだまの餅入りどら焼き"
Kodama’s “Mochi Dorayaki” made by Kodama in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, has been popular in Sendai for over 70 years.
It is quite large for a single dorayaki.
It has the appearance of a standard Dorayaki, but you can see that the Dorayaki crust is quite thick.
The dorayaki crust is characterized by its thickness, and as a lover of dorayaki crusts, I am very pleased with the balance of the crusts. The Gyuhi(rice cake) is also a large piece in the middle, which is a very luxurious composition.
Anyway, the dorayaki crust is very satisfying, and the red bean paste and gyuhi inside are also of high quality and delicious. All the elements that a “dorayaki” should have are at a high and stable level, and it is easy to see why it is loved as a standard item.
