Eggs found in the moon
Don't think of it as a typical custard manju.
Japanese notation "みちのくミルル"
“Michinoku-Miruru” made by “Marufuku” in Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture, is a milk bun made with fresh highland milk and butter.
The product name and package design are both a bit retro and cute.
When opened, it looks like a long, thin stick of manju.
There seems to be yellowish milk paste inside the manju skin. It also looks similar to “Mamador” a famous confectionery of the same Fukushima area.
The milk paste has a very gentle sweetness with a soft buttery aroma. Compared to “Mamador”, it seemed a little more moist and rich in flavor.
