Japanese notation "横濱ハーバー 湘南ゴールド"
“Shonan Gold” is a new variety of citrus fruit developed and bred by Kanagawa Prefecture over a period of 12 years, and is said to be a “fantastic orange” due to its limited production.
It is a slightly orange-yellow color and looks like a Milk manju.
Shonan Gold is used in the bean paste, giving it a milkiness as well as a refreshing citrus flavor.
Shonan Gold is a cross between “Golden Orange” and “Imamura Onshu” which were produced along the warm coast. It was a manju with the gentle sweetness of milk red bean paste and the freshness of citrus fruits.
