Nazo-no-Toriten-senbei
Japanese notation "謎のとり天せんべい"
The “Nazo-no-Torisenbei” are planned and manufactured by Takara Bussan Corporation in Beppu City, Oita Prefecture. It is a rice cracker made from toriten, which is said to be the soul food of Oita Prefecture.
What is the difference between “karaage” and “toriten”? While karaage is basically coated with flour or potato starch and deep fried, toriten is deep fried using a tempura batter rich in egg. Also, while karaage is usually made with thigh meat, toriten is usually made with chicken meat.

A very thin rice cracker was served. In terms of thickness, it would be about 2mm.
The texture is just like a crispy rice cracker made by stretching and baking flour. The flavor of garlic and soy sauce gives it a slightly spicy taste, just like fried chicken. It is a thin rice cracker, but the seasoning is quite strong, making it a perfect snack for alcoholic beverages.
