Yasuda Milk Bouchée
Japanese notation "安田牛乳ブッセ"
“Yasuda Milk Bouchée” produced by Asakusaya Foods in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture, is a milk cream bouche named after the birthplace of dairy farming in Niigata Prefecture, which was called Yasuda-cho. The package also has a classical design with “Yasuda Milk” pushed to the forefront.
“Yasuda Milk” has a long history and is said to have started in Nagaoka in 1878. The Nagaoka area of Niigata Prefecture is also famous for its rice production, and the neighboring Uonuma area was once known as a “dairy village” where dairy farming flourished, supported by the abundant nature and clean water.
It is a standard bouche, but the dough is moist and full of milk. The cream inside is a little like condensed milk, sweet and a little transparent.
The Bouchée is full of milk texture and firm sweetness, so I thought it would go well with black coffee.
