“Imokuri Sataro” a famous confectionery in Fukushima Prefecture, is, as the name suggests, a Japanese sweet potato made of sweet potatoes and chestnuts. The paste of sweet potato, chestnuts, and white bean paste is made into bite-sized dumplings and baked.
It looks like a bite-sized sweet potato, but it is filled with air and has a fluffy texture.
The surface also shows the texture of the material as it is. When you break it in half, you can see the chestnut fruit in it.
The sweet potato and chestnut paste is perfectly balanced and elegantly sweet, and the deliciousness of the ingredients is directly conveyed. The outside was baked to a golden brown, but the overall texture was moist and melt-in-your-mouth.
