Awako Cookies

Japanese notation"あわこクッキー"
Faithful deer shape, millet flour cookies are delicious!
I bought “Awako Cookies,” cookies made at Tenri Kanko Farm in Nara Prefecture in the shape of a deer.
I was worried that the cookie material would crack since it faithfully reproduced the shape of a deer and had so many thin sections, but the cookie material was quite hard and rather sturdy.
And I was worried about what it would taste like, given that millet is powdered and used as the cookie dough, but when I tried it, it was very tasty. It is a hard cookie with a chewy texture, so I ate it while partially biting into it, but it had a rustic sweetness and a very nice aroma of the cookie dough, perhaps from the millet powder. It was a perfect match with coffee.
