Almond cookies (Fūgetsudo)
Japanese notation "アーモンドクッキー(風月堂)"
“Almond Cookies” made by Fūgetsudo in Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture, are authentic cookies from a confectionery shop in an elongated shape.
When I saw them in a dark green package at the store, it brought back memories of eating them when I was a little, so I bought them to see what they tasted like. I couldn’t remember what kind of cookies they were at all until I opened the package, but when I opened it, I felt ‘ah! I felt nostalgic’.
As you can see, there are sliced almonds and butterscotch on one side and cookie cookies on the other. The shape suggests that a very large cake-like cookie is baked and then cut to make a stick cookie.
The abundant use of almond slices, banana scotch, and rich buttery aroma are also present.
This cookie part tastes like a real biscuit cake from a confectionery shop.
Now that I think about it, I realize that I must have eaten some pretty extravagant cookies as a child. The cookie dough is really delicious, a little moist but crispy at the same time. I am also happy that the price is reasonable for the quality.
