Hitokuchi-Kinako-Mochi
Japanese notation "ひとくちきなこもち"
Kinako mochi (soybean flour rice cake) in a cup purchased at Nara Mahoroba-kan, an antenna store in Nara Prefecture. There are times when you suddenly have a craving for rice cake. These bite-sized cups of mochi satisfy such cravings.
These days, rice cakes in cups can be found in convenience stores, but this one is packaged with Japanese paper, giving it a “Nara” feel.
The color of the soybean flour looks authentic, conveying the feeling of being handmade, and the delicious smell of soybean flour fills the air when the cup is opened.
It is a standard kinako mochi, but when you want to eat it is when it tastes good. This size makes me happy.
The mochi seemed firm and elastic, and the kinako (soybean flour ) was quite flavorful and tasty.
